James Roy Miller

James Roy Miller, 93, passed away on July 16, 2021 at his residence with his family by his side. He was born on October 27, 1927 to Joseph and Vonda (Smith) Miller, in Terre Haute. James is survived by his daughter, Kelly Mars; granddaughters, Kimberly Norris (Jason) and Ashley Mars; great grandchildren, Noah Norris and Christian Norris; along with several nieces and nephews. James served his country in the United States Navy. He was member of the VFW #6574, American Legion Post 90, the YMCA Swim Club, and the Wabash Senior Citizens Center. James enjoyed spending time outdoors. He loved to fish, garden, catch snapping turtles, travel, and spend time at North Lake. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Patty Miller; along with his siblings: Raymond Miller, Doris Chapman, Helen Torpy, and Geneva Adams. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 5pm - 7pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. Memorial service will be on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 12pm, with a visitation prior from 11am to 12pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
