Janet Sue Eddy

Janet Sue Eddy, 63, of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at Union Hospital with her husband by her side. She was born on March 17, 1951, in Terre Haute, to Andrew and Wilma Fern (Neidhamer) Mazura. She married Kenneth Eddy on September 3, 1969.

Janet had been an active member of the Eastern Star for many years and belonged to the Kerman Grotto Caldron. She loved to travel and had traveled abroad several times with her best friend, Marcia Townsend. She worked for twenty-five years providing private nursing care. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Janet was a beautiful wife, wonderful mother, and grammy. She was loved very much by her husband, Kenny, and their family. She will be truly missed.

Janet is survived by her husband, Kenneth Eddy of Terre Haute; children, Ginger Butts and husband Robert of St. Augustine, FL, Brian Eddy of Terre Haute, and Tammy Root and husband Devlin of St. Augustine, FL; grandchildren, Madalyn Butts of St. Augustine, FL, Kyle Eddy, Josh Eddy, and Kaylee Eddy, all of Terre Haute; a niece, Michelle Grise and a nephew, Norman Beasley, both of Terre Haute.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Donnie Mazura, and sister Peggy Beasley.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 26 at Thomas Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 27, at the funeral home.
