

Kenneth Baxter Maudlin, 71, of Terre Haute, Indiana, passed away on February 26, 2026, at the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care. He was born on May 24, 1954, in Fairfield, California to Henry and Shirley (Summerville) Maudlin.
Kenneth graduated from Clinton High School and joined the Air Force after graduation. He was in the Air Force for four years and worked in telecommunications. He worked for the United States Postal Service for thirty years and for twenty-three of those years he delivered mail at the Naval Weapons Station in Goose Creek, South Carolina. While in Goose Creek, Kenneth was the Union Steward for the Post Office.
Kenneth helped build a home missions church in Summerville, South Carolina. He taught Sunday School, was a chaperone for the youth, had a clown and a puppet ministry and ran the sound system at church.
He enjoyed wood working and attending vendor fairs. He was an avid Cubs fan. Kenneth loved his dog, Copper, who would lay at his feet in the recliner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Shirley Maudlin.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of almost forty-seven years, Debbie “Princess” (English) Maudlin. They were married August 11, 1979. He is survived by his daughter, Jami Lu Hall and her husband, Robert Hall of Sullivan; a granddaughter, Serena Grace Bates and her husband Dylan of Terre Haute; a great grandson, Rocky Joseph Baxter Purcell; sisters, Nancy Maudlin Yates of Clinton and Lisa Maudlin Commean of DeSoto, Illinois; a niece, Niki Lynn Yates of Clinton; Albert Kent of Clinton who was the Best Man in their wedding. Albert was there with them in the beginning and until the end of Kenny’s passing. A special mention to Apostolic Faith Tabernacle and Pastor Teddy Hamby and his wife Stephanie; friends: Billie and Jamie Benton, Dale and Connie Bryan, Logan and Angelina Benton, Shane and Kimberly Morrison, Kevin and Wanda West and last but not least, one of his favorite people that he loved to pick on, Julie Moore. He also leaves behind other family and friends.
Per Kenneth’s wishes, cremation was chosen with no services.
