

Larry Ernest Neff, 87, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Southwood Healthcare Center. He was born in Terre Haute, the only child of Ernest Neff and Daisy Engle Neff, on September 3, 1938.
Larry is survived by cousin, Steve Dyer, Dan Dyer and Karen Dyer Martin. He will be sadly missed by long-time friends Duane and Debbie Thompson and devoted neighbors Artie and Annette Tonetti.
He was predeceased in death by his parents, cousin Doris Clark Dyer and Ray Dyer.
Retiring from Sisters of Providence at Saint Mary – of – the- Woods, Indiana, he had been a valued employee of nearly 30 years. Larry was a graduate of Gerstmeyer Tech High School (Class of 1956) in Terre Haute and earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University where he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity in Bloomington, Indiana. After graduating high school, Larry joined the military. Larry loved the Lord and worshiped at Mount Pleasant Church.
Larry was a talented artist and painted landscapes. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed his yard and garden. He always had dogs, with Penny and Betsy being his most recent pets. Larry and his friend Duane spent many hours fishing lakes near and far hoping to catch bass and walleye.
Final arrangements are being managed by Mattox-Wood Funeral Home with graveside service officiated by Pastor Dennis Ticen at Roselawn Memorial Park on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 1:00pm.
