Linda Ann Mattox

Linda A. Mattox, 72, of Terre Haute, passed away in her home surrounded by family on Sunday, April 21, 2024. Born in Terre Haute, Indiana, she was a graduate of North Central High school. After graduating high school she went on to cosmetology school and worked as a beautician for several years. She then, along with her husband, Joe, owned Mattox Funeral Homes throughout the Wabash Valley. Her life was full of adventures, love and most importantly her faith. Linda was a proud member of Higher Ground Christian Church. She enjoyed traveling, tennis, pottery and being outdoors. She was a member of several organizations and clubs throughout her life, as well. Linda had many titles in her life; daughter, sister, friend, business owner, Mom, but her favorite was “Nonnie/Nonna” to her grandchildren. Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Joe; her dear parents, Mary Lou and James Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Amy and Zac Warner, son Adam Mattox, daughter and son-in-law Angie and Mark Poole, grandchildren Cooper Warner, Colt Warner, Cali Warner, Elizabeth Burk (Chris), Evan Poole (Lauren), her loving sister and best friend, Brenda Burton and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 1pm Friday, April 26, 2024 at Mattox Wood Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bill Herb officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 25th from 5pm until 8pm at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Fond memories and condolences may be made at www.MattoxWood.com
