Mark William Bays

Mark William Bays, 62, passed away on March 26, 2019, in his residence. He was born January 18, 1957, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., to Chester Bays and Beulah Oneta (Rudisel) Bays. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, April Marie Bays; 4 brothers Chester Bays Jr., Steve Bays, Patrick Bays and Tim Bays; and 1 sister, Peggy Bays. Mark is survived by his daughter, Shawna Baker; his son, Mark Bays Jr.; 4 sisters, Marcia (James) Strait of Paris, Ill., Barbara Heiner of Salt Lake City, Utah, Sandra Spaulding of Sugar City, Idaho, and Penny Burgess of Terre Haute; and 1 brother, Rex (Janis) Bays of Marshall, Ill. Mark worked in electronics repair. He enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing and mushroom hunting! He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a former member of the Indiana Sheriff's Association. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 8, 2019, at 10 a.m. EDT, in Grandview Cemetery with Brother Sedgwick, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, officiating.
