Martha Lou Jean Woodward

Lou Jean Woodward (89) of Terre Haute passed from this life to her eternal home on Thursday, August 22, 2013. She was born in Seelyville on February 22, 1924 to Roy and Mina Taylor. Lou Jean was married to the love of her life Maynard for over 49 years until his death in 1996. Lou Jean work for over 20 years before retiring from Columbia Records. She loved spending time with her family and friends; but most of all Lou Jean Loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lou Jean is survived by 2 children, a daughter Carol Wittenmyer of Terre Haute, and a son Terry Woodward of Terre Haute; 4 grandchildren, Melissa Davis, Vickie Acklin, Eric (Rachel) and Troy Woodward, 10 great grandchildren; 1 sister Marie Cordrey of Las Vegas; sister in-law Margie Joslin and brother in law Dan Joslin of Fl.; sister in-law Rosemary Melloy of Ky. Lou Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband Maynard, brother Albert Taylor, and sister Ola Davis. A funeral Service will be held on Monday August 26, 2013 at Roselawn Funeral Home with visitation at 9:00 a.m and services at 10:00 a.m. With Pastor Jim Thurston officiating.
