

Mary is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Williams and husband Warren of West Terre Haute; grandchildren, Kimberly Oliver, Gerald Stump, Jr., Hilary Williams, and Miranda Williams; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Devon Oliver, and two on the way; sisters, Sharon Dunfee, Janice Whalen and husband Bob, and Becky McIntire and husband Herb; and several nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; son, Robert Allen; daughter, Danita Allen; brother-in-law, Kenny Dunfee; niece, Lisa Dunfee-Anderson; nephews, Billy Joe Hoopingarner and Bobby Whalen; and cousins, Linda Swinford, Ruth Lowe, and Sharon Hart.
Mary achieved her dream of becoming a nurse in her forties and graduated from college at Ivy Tech. She worked for many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse, retiring from Westridge Nursing Home. She loved to crocheting, sewing, and making ceramics. She enjoyed cooking, especially baking cookies and making candies to share with her family and friends. She was a member of Eighth Avenue Baptist Church. Mary doted on her little dog, Hartlee. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her daughter and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9 at Roselawn Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until noon with graveside services to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Capacity during the visitation and service is limited to the current standards set forth by the State of Indiana. Visitors are encouraged to wear masks and practice social distancing.
