

Norma J. (Burns) Wilson of Terre Haute passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Westridge Nursing home at the age of 89. Norma was born in Terre Haute on July 30, 1923, the daughter of the late Earl and Myrtle Burns. She was a stay at home housewife and she also worked at Wabash Fiber Box and Quaker Maid. Norma enjoyed working plastic crafts and crocheting.
She served as treasurer for the VFW Post 6574 W.T.H. Auxiliary, American Legion Post 346, and was a member of Eagles # 291 Ladies Auxiliary, and Military Order of COOTIE Auxiliary # 11.
She is survived by two nephews Marvin E. Dabelow and Jeffery A. Dabelow, step children, several step grandchildren, several great nieces, great nephews, and great great nieces. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tom Wilson and sister Dorothy Dabelow.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 3, 2013 from 4 to 8 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Her funeral ceremony will be on Thursday, March 4, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial at Roselawn Memorial Park. The minister officiating will be Jeff Russell.
