Robert L Norris

Robert L. “Bob” Norris Sr., of Terre Haute, passed away Sept. 28, 2015, in Davis Garden Health Care Center. Bob was born May 9, 1935, in Sullivan, to Wilbur Norris and Macil Winniki Norris. Bob was retired from CRC Products as a service technician after 46 years of service.

He was a member of American Legion Post 104 and the Moose Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and tinkering. He also enjoyed traveling and eating out.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Barbara, who died Feb. 3, 2001; and a special friend, Donna Long, who died Aug. 18, 2014.

He is survived by nine children, sons, Robert “Bob” Norris Jr. and wife Betty of Terre Haute, William “Bill” Norris and wife Kathy of Blackhawk, Gary Norris and wife Marla of Seelyville, Rick Norris of Terre Haute and Jeff Norris and wife Carla of Mason, Ohio; daughters, Rebecca Jean Norris of Carmel, Debra Sue Norris and her significant other, Robin Church of Terre Haute, Cathy Ann Norris of Terre Haute and Carolyn Jo Brown and husband Mike of Terre Haute; one brother, Gerald Norris and wife Delores of Seelyville; two sisters, Wanda Crecelius and husband Jerry of Clay City, and Janet Marie Kassis and husband Phil of Seelyville; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St. A gathering of family and friends will be 11 a.m. until services Saturday. The Rev. Tony Morales will be officiating. Private entombment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley, envelopes will be available at the funeral home. On line condolences may be made at:
