Ron was a 1968 graduate of Garfield High School and earned a bachelor's degree in manufacturing technology from Indiana State University. His father, Delmar, started Jones Tool and Machine, and Ron took over the family business that his father had built. Ron liked music and playing the guitar, books, knives and fishing.
In 1987, Ron married April (Pizzola) and she survives. Ron also leaves behind their children: Brian Jones (Amanda), Taylor Jones and Reilly Jones; grandchildren: Hayley, Alekko (Carlei) and Aydan; great-grandchildren: Viviana and Aspen and a large extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Betty Jones; a sister, Sharon Nicoson and a brother-in-law, Steve Nicoson.
Per Ron’s wishes, cremation has been chosen.
