Sherri Lynn Sullivan

Sherri was born on August 7, 1950 to Myron Dale Rukes and Retha Maurine Anstead Rukes in Terre Haute. She graduated from Garfield high school in 1968, and was an administrative assistant at Indiana State University for 25 years.

Sherri loved her children Matthew Sullivan , Kristi Barnaby and husband Erik, her beloved grandchildren Lane Sullivan, Alexandra Barnaby, Stella Barnaby, her sister Pam Williams, brother Brad Rukes and wife Ruth, her nephew Andy Williams and wife Jessica and great niece and nephew Kami and Collin, countless cousins that were more like siblings, and great friends. Her greatest joys were to be surrounded by family and friends, being out in the garden planting flowers, and walking along the beach collecting seashells. Sherri was passionate about and loved serving others as an active member in many churches specifically loving on and teaching children about Jesus for over 50 years.

Sherri's family would like to give a special thank you to the Wabash Valley Hospice care unit and to the many wonderful nurses and aides that took such special care of her and our family.

There will be a celebration of life on Sunday September 17, 2023 4pm at Cedar Bay Event Venue, 7720 N. Murphy Rd. Brazil, IN 47834

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of the Wabash Valley or the National Scleroderma Foundation.
