

Terry Dean Allen, 76, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, August 24, 2015, at Union Hospital, with his family by his side. He was born on July 22, 1939, in Terre Haute, to Vestal and Hazel (Senters) Allen. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Corenflos on July 1, 1967.
Terry is preceded in death by his parents; twin sister, Mary Wilson and her husband Dave; brother-in-laws, Jack Corenflos and his wife Lil, Gene Corenflos and his wife Virginia, Jerry Corenflos and his wife Alice, Fred Hill; sister-in-law Doris Cartwright and her husband Bob; and mother and father-in-law, Flora and Francois Corenflos.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn Allen; brother, Charles Allen and his wife Nancy, sister-in-laws, Ruby Corenflos Hill and Nina Corenflos; one aunt, Virginia Allen; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and last but not least, his Shih Tzu puppy, Bubba.
Terry graduated from Otter Creek High School. He served in the Air National Guard at Hulman Field. Terry retired from Alcan after 37 years of dedicated service as a maintenance mechanic. He was a member of Krietenstein American Legion Post 104, Joseph A. Bray Marine Corps League Detachment 471, VFW Post 972, and the Rockville Elks. He was a 50 year member of the Masonic Guild.
Terry and Carolyn enjoyed spending their lives together. They loved to travel, especially all over the United States. They took many trips together and with groups. They liked to visit ballparks wherever they were travelling. Terry and Carolyn were truly blessed to have nieces and nephews: Rick Cartwright, Lori Cartwright, Mike Allen, and Tammy Allen, that provided companionship and excellent caregiving to both of them this past year.
Per Terry’s wishes, no services will be held. He would want his family and friends to simply remember him whenever they are out, having a great time. He cherished the time he spent with his wife Carolyn, his family, and his friends. He will be entombed in Roselawn Memorial Park’s Chapel of Memories.
