Weerawan Patrick

Weerawan Patrick, 77, of Terre Haute, Indiana passed away May 9, 2026. She was born February 13, 1949 to Wilaht Saratsamid and Pitsawat Gitsali in Udon Thani, Thailand. Wee met Michael Patrick while he was stationed in Udon Thani in 1972 and they later married on June 8, 1973 in Kumpawapee, Thailand.

As a young girl in Thailand, She was the 2nd oldest of 11 children. (4 brothers and 6 sisters) Wee quit school after the 3rd grade to help take care of family. In her early 20’s she owned and ran a small sidewalk cafe and store. Wee was a military wife for 20 years and moved 9 times during that period, finally settling in Terre Haute 30 years ago. Mike and Wee moved to the United States in late 1973 and she became U.S. Citizen in the early 2000’s. Wee enjoyed bowling and bowled at Vigo Bowl for over 30 years. She would travel with friends to Women’s bowling tournaments in New Orleans, LA and Reno, NV. She enjoyed traveling to Casinos to play her favorite slot machines, going on cruises, cooking, and gardening. She was well known for her famous spring rolls.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Michael Patrick. 3 children, Kittisak Patrick of O’Fallon, IL., Billy Patrick (Stephanie) of Terre Haute, IN. and Cassandra Patrick (Crystal) of Indianapolis, IN. Brother In-Law Timothy Patrick (Karen) of Terre Haute, IN. Grandchildren include Billy Patrick Jr., Christina Patrick, Leah Overpeck, Tristan Patrick, Cassidy Briscoe, Caleb McKanna, and Dylan Martin. Great-grandchildren, Grace Patrick, Calvin Patrick, Preston Stiles, Hayes Briscoe, Mason Briscoe, and Grayson McKanna. She is also survived by 9 siblings with many nieces and nephews in Thailand.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister in Thailand.

Her final wishes were direct cremation with Memorial Services that are scheduled for Tuesday May 26, 2026 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home in Terre Haute. Visitation will be 1-3p.m. with a Memorial starting at 3p.m.
