William Billy Eugene Osborn

William Eugene Osborn, 79, of Terre Haute, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2016. He was born on May 19, 1937, in Terre Haute, to Clyde and Violet (Morris) Osborn. He married Billie Jeanne Bedford on July 29, 1955.

William is survived by his wife of 61 years, Billie Jeanne Osborn of Terre Haute; children, Steven Osborn and wife Tammy, Karen Osborn, Natalie Trotter and husband Jeff, all of Terre Haute; grandchildren, Christine Stephens and husband Craig of Brazil, Steven Osborn of Terre Haute, Stephanie Osborn of Terre Haute, Philip Osborn and wife Kaylee of Crawfordsville, and Courtney Trotter of Terre Haute; great-grandchildren, Tristin Stephens, Aubree Stephens, Lillianna Osborn, Dawson Osborn, Amilliah Osborn, Dreyden Saleh, Bentley Osborn, and Sophia Osborn; brothers, Tom Osborn and wife Irma of Terre Haute, Charles Osborn and wife Carolyn of Montezuma; and a sister Patricia Calton and partner Vern of Farmersburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Johnny Osborn.

William worked for 43 years as Service Manager for Mace Service, before his retirement on May 26, 2004. He was an avid fisherman and when he wasn’t out fishing, he enjoyed the fellowship of family and friends at the Outdoor Rec Club. William was a member of Masonic Lodge 19, Kerman Grotto Revelers, and the Outdoor Rec Club. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa. He had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed living life to its fullest. He will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. on Monday, September 12, at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. with Masonic Rites performed by Masonic Lodge 19 and officiated by Pastor Rick Swan. William will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park.
