Wilma “June” Williams passed away on March 10, 2019 at her residence. June was born April 20, 1926 to John Clayton Mattox and Myrtle Mae Bridgewater.
June was retired from Putnam County Hospital. Prior, she owned and operated her own beauty salon. Her hobbies included growing flowers, quilting, crocheting, sewing, scrapbooking, and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her two children, Rala Leigh Williams, John E. (Diana) Williams; her five grandchildren, Alex, Rachael, Nathan, Zach, and Taylor; her great-grandchildren, Braiden, Leigha, Jaden, Adri, Scarlet, and Judah; several nieces and nephews; and a very special nephew, Larry Weaver and his mother, Jean Harris were exceptionally close to June.
June is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raleigh Williams; and her nine siblings.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home from 4:00pm-8:00pm. The funeral service will be Friday, March 15, 2019 at 11:00am at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Gisel officiating. Burial will take place at Clearview Cemetery.
