Dwayne worked as a HVAC Service Chiller Journeyman for over 25 years and was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 100. He enjoyed racing dirt bikes and was a part of the Texas Cross Country Racing Association, winning a State Championship in 2006. Dwayne was naturally mechanically inclined and enjoyed building things with his hands; starting with model cars when he was a boy. He preferred to be outside, rather than in the house. He always had a project, whether it was working on his house, land, motorcycles or his newly acquired Jeep. Dwayne was a family and friends-oriented guy. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He would do anything in the world for his three nieces. What an amazing person he was to his family and close friends, but above all, he was the best brother and uncle to his “girls”, and we are so blessed to have all the special memories that will be treasured forever.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Betty Gensler. Dwayne is survived by his sisters, Cindy Hayes & husband Randy of Katy, Texas, & Misti Gensler of Mesquite, Texas; nieces Madison, Lauren, & Cambri; & other extended family and close friends to cherish his memory.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Dwayne’s life on Monday, October 22, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home in Terrell, Texas.
