Mattie Elizabeth Baker

Mattie Elizabeth Baker, 93, passed away May 2nd 2015. Born March 14 1922 in Terrell TX to Matthew and Helen Wallace, both of whom preceded her in death along with her brothers: Matthew (June) Wallace, Edgar Wallace and Henry Wallace. Married to the late Lt Colonel Norman Baker. She worked as a homemaker and devoted mother. She was active in the Mayflower Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Terrell Garden Club. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Terrell TX. She is survived by sons Neal Baker, wife Laurie and Mark Baker; grandchildren: Kelli Boyd and Tony Blackbourn; great grandchildren: Carl, Jase,and Braelyn; sister, Mary Garvin; brother, William Wallace as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and a host of friends. Services will be held on Tuesday May 5th at 10 o'clock at Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home, Terrell TX. A private interment will be held wher she will be next to the love of her life Norman at Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell TX.
