

Robert Brian Tanner, 49, of Terrell, TX passed away on January 23, 2016. He was born to James Russell Tanner and Betty Lou Counts on February 22, 1966 in Houston, TX. Brian was an artist at heart. He could draw, paint, write poetry and play the guitar. He had a love of nature. His time he spent living in Alaska as a fisherman and in the wilderness really made him appreciate the outdoors even more; and was source of inspiration for his artistic value. He also developed a passion for the Indian culture and would go play drums at sweat lodges. When he was at home you could catch him reading books and playing with his animals; Langston and Cheyenne, his two dogs, and Kerouac, his cat. Brian met Judith Hobbs and the two of them got married on April 22, 2007. Judith was the love of his life. Brian was preceded in death by his mother Betty Lou and Brother David James Roberts. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 8 years Judith; Father James Russell Tanner and wife Cathy; children Ashley Diane Sessa and husband John, Jessica Reyes and husband Ivan and Haley Rae Colvin; grandchildren Dylan James Truex and Adriana Reyes; 2 brothers, 3 sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family who will miss him dearly. The family will celebrate the life of Brian on Friday, January 29, 2016, at College Mound United Methodist Church at 3:00pm. There will be a gathering of family and friends in the chapel of Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home Thursday, January 28, 2016, from 6pm – 8pm.
