Cynthia Marlene Parnell, age 58, of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. Cyndi was born August 3, 1964 in Texarkana, AR. She was a graduate of Arkansas High School. Also attended a vocational school to become a legal assistant. She worked many years at the Smith, Stroud law firm before becoming a stay at home mother. Loved being a dance and boy scout mom. She was married to Thomas the love of her life for over 38 years. Some of her favorite pass times were relaxing and watching her birds on the porch. She is preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Minnie Lee Vaughn; brother George Vaughn. Survived by her husband Thomas Parnell; one daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Hunter Vance; one son Daniel T. Parnell; one granddaughter Sarah Jane Vance; one brother and sister-in-law Dale and Tracy Vaughn; three sisters and brothers-in-laws Wanda and Mike Cherry, Sue and Ira Royal and Debbie Vaughn; plus one special friend Annette Weldon; plus numerous other nieces, nephews and other family. Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, September 16, 2022 at East Funeral Home-Downtown with Rev. Jaimie Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 7 P.M. at East Funeral Home-Downtown. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital; American Lung Association and the First United Methodist Church, Texarkana, AR. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at for the Parnell family. Pallbearers are: Thomas Parnell, Hunter Vance, Daniel Parnell, Clay Fricks, Bart Vance and David Vammen.
