Doris McKnight Teer

Doris McKnight Teer, 79 of Texarkana, Arkansas died Friday, January 28, 2011 at her home. Mrs. Teer was born August 18, 1931 in Miller County. She was a homemaker and retired from Day & Zimmerman. She was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Kenneth Teer. Her three sons and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Theresa Teer, David and Vickie Teer, and Billy and Robbin Teer. Her grandchildren Scotty and Nancy Teer, Jason and Andrea Teer, Bridget and Clint Gordon, Amanda and Kevin Bryant, Drew Teer and Brady Teer. Her great-grandchildren, Landon, Tyler, Sydney, Camryn, Mallory, Laney, Tristan and Bentli. Four sisters, Virtle Williamson, Lois Koonce, Dova Pritchett, Vivian Crank, her brother Ardell “Buck” McKnight and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will be at 3737 Genoa Rd., Texarkana, AR.

Services will be 10 a.m., Monday, January 31, 2011 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Rev. Cranford Graves and Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.

Family will receive friends from 2-4 P.M. Sunday, January 30, 2011 at the funeral home.
