Mr. Smith was born September 22, 1923 in Marietta, Texas. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired welder for civil service and hay bailer by trade and a member of Coon Hunters Association. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife Ina K. Buster and his wife Cubell Smith and a son Kenneth Smith.
Survivors include his two daughters and son-in-law; Ruthy Sellers of Dallas, Texas and Sheila and Jerry Jones of San Diego, California two sons, Lewis Smith of San Diego, California and Gary Smith of Atlanta, Texas and a sister Nettie Spence Lee of Compton, Los Angeles, California; 18 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, 54 great great grandchildren, 3 great great great grandchildren; and other relatives.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at Norris Samuel Curry S. Curry CME Church located at 301 3rd Street, Naples, Texas.
