

Hubert Easley, age 99-1/2 years old, of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025. He was born in Genoa, AR on October 30, 1925. He was a WWII veteran in the Army. He was a life time member of Cornerstone Baptist Church ( formerly Calvary Baptist Church). He retired from Red River Army Depot as a trouble shooter for the United States and other countries after 25 years. Hubert was also a longtime cattle farmer on Hwy 71 south. He was a Texarkana Ar. school board member for three terms. He also served as assistant mayor of Texarkana, Ar. and had vast experience of all aspects of local government. He served as Miller County Judge for 12 years where he obtained grants for over 6 million dollars for the state of Arkansas. Married to Bobbie Stone Easley for just under 70 years.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Bobbie Stone Easley; a son Brad T. Easley; one sister Elsie Easley; four brothers Cecil Easley, JP Easley, Curtis Easley and Wiley(Pete) Easley.
He is survived by his loving daughter Brenda Easley King of Savannah GA., one granddaughter Stephanie King Horton of Greenwich, CT. and one grandson Tyler Easley of Oklahoma City, OK.; two twin great-grandsons, Dakota Easley Horton and Jackson Low Horton both of Greenwich, CT.
Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at East Memorial Chapel-Downtown officiated by the Rev. Dr. David Holder.
