Lodena was born to Mack and Effie Williams on November 15, 1932 in Bernie, Missouri.
Lodena met her husband, Ferrel Gene Heigle at Bernie High School. They married March 25, 1951 and began their life as a family in Missouri. In 1963,, they moved to Mississippi and planted roots on their family farm in Issaquena County. Lodena retired in 1992 from the USDA-Farm Service Agency as the Issaquena County Executive Director. They moved to Fouke, Arkansas in 1998 and enjoyed their retirement together.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Lodena also loved teaching Sunday School. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her at Lake Washington First Baptist Church and Sylverino Baptist Church.
Lodena joins her son, Rodney Heigle, granddaughter, Kristal Laci Heigle, and siblings, Howard Williams, L.B. Williams, M.C. Williams, Donis Martin, Doris DeGroot, Nelta Pippin, and Jean Putnam in Heaven. She is survived by her husband, sons, Garry Heigle, Randy (Joanne) Heigle, Todd (Kelley) Heigle, Daughter-in-law, Laurie Heigle, grandchildren, Josh (Kortnee) Heigle, Karla Watson, Russell (Autumn) Heigle, Kenneth (Raquel) Heigle, David Heigle, Jennifer Heigle, Elizabeth (Jeremy) Kent, Lauren (Chad) Fillmore, and 12 great grandchildren.
Graveside service on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in County Line Cemetery, 286 Eastside Lake Washington Road, Glen Allan, Mississippi under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown with her brother, Rev. Dean Williams officiating.
