

Mary K. Ford, 90, of Wake Village, TX, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011 at her home. She was born August 5, 1920 in Carney's Point, NJ to Ralph and Mary Kaufmann. She attended public schools in Tulsa, OK and graduated from the University of Tulsa. She lived many years in Breckenridge, TX before moving back to Tulsa. She had retired after teaching first grade or resource room math for over 20 years in Tulsa. She was a active member and ordained Elder of College Hill Presbyterian Church in Tulsa. She moved to Wake Village a year ago to live with her daughter.
She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Alan Ford, in July 2003. She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Linda and James Murphy of Wake Village, a grandson, Christopher Thompson of Waxahachie, TX, a grandson and his wife, Brian and Melissa Girard of Hot Springs, AR and their son Jacob, a granddaughter and her husband, Stacy and Christopher Morehead of Tulsa, OK and their daughter Carolyn, a step-granddaughter and her husband, Shawna and Christopher McAdams of Texarkana, AR and an adopted daughter, Sonya Sewell of North Las Vega, NV and her family. She is also survived by a sister, Virginia Govier of Rolla, MO, 2 brothers and their wives, Jim and Leslie Kaufmann of Georgetown, TX and Roger and Helen Kaufmann of Broken Arrow, OK, and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her constant companion, her dog, Bentley.
A life celebration service will be held Friday, July 1 at College Hill Presbyterian Church in Tulsa, OK at 3 PM. Memorials may be made to College Hill Presbyterian Church general funds, Opportunities, Inc., or a charity of your choice. The family request that all friends wear bright or flowered clothing on Friday in celebration of her life and love of flowers.
