Samuel Thomas Tirrito Sr.

Sam was a retired lieutenant of the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department and a reserve officer for the Ashdown Arkansas Police Department. He was a

member of the Texarkana Arkansas Police Association and St. Edward’s Catholic Church. He was an avid outdoors man, and his favorite thing was to spend time with his family.

Sam was preceded in death by his father, Lucian Tirrito.

Survivors include his wife Agnes Tirrito of Texarkana, TX; son Samuel Tirrito, Jr. and his fiancé' Daniela Rosas of Texarkana, TX; daughter Sara Tirrito of Texarkana, TX; mother Margaret Tirrito of Ogden, AR; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Susanne and Mike Tullos of Texarkana,AR, Annette and Rob Wimberly of Atlanta, TX and Mary and Mark Adams of Texarkana, TX; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Lisa Tirrito of Texarkana, AR; sister-in-law, Mary Helm and her husband Tom of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania; also left to honor his memory is his best friend, Dwight Mowery, of Texarkana and a number of nieces and nephews.

A prayer service will be at 7pm Monday, March 10, 2014 with visitation to follow at 7:30pm at East Funeral Home-Downtown.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at St Edwards Catholic Church with Rev. Paul Worm, Deacon Angel Guzman and Deacon David Fowler officiating. Burial will be in Fleming family cemetery in Ogden, AR under the direction of East Funeral Home-Downtown.
