Willie Horton

Willie B. Horton, 98, of Texarkana, TX passed away July 15, 2011 at his home. Mr. Horton was born December 13, 1912 in Titus County, TX. He was a member of Hampton Church of Christ; He was a U. S. Army veteran of WWII and a recipient of the Silver Star and Purple Heart.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Rhea Horton.

Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Ann and Dave Hall of Texarkana, TX, and Lynda and Herbert Gates of Texarkana, AR; son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Cindi Horton of New Braunfels, TX; 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m., Monday, July 18, 2011 at East Memorial Chapel - Downtown with Jerry Monholland officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens under the direction of East Funeral Home - Downtown.

Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, July 17, 2011 at the funeral home.

Family will be at Hampton Church of Christ Church after the funeral service to receive friends.
