Alice S Flores

Alice Solis Flores, 88, of Spring, TX went to her Heavenly Father on January 5, 2016, surrounded by her husband and family. She was born on September 27, 1927 in Karnes City and grew up in Floresville, TX. She is the daughter of Bill and Carolina Solis, who preceded her in death. Zulemma is her middle name which means peace and is what she brought to many people. Alice is survived by her loving husband of nearly 64 years, Fidel, her children Louis and his wife Cindy and Loretta (Lorrie) Parise; five grandchildren, Ashley McCarty and her husband Brady, Travis Kyle Flores and his wife Victoria, and Collin, Megan and Brandon Parise; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob and Alexis McCarty and Tyleigh Flores. She is also survived by relatives, all the loving children that she once babysat and numerous friends. The viewing and Rosary will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 South, The Woodlands, 77384 on Tuesday, January 12 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Remembrance stories will be held prior to the Rosary which begins at 6:30 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 13, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church, 2601 Spring Stuebner Rd., Spring 77389. After the mass, burial will take place at 12:30 p.m. at the Houston National Cemetery, followed by a reception “Around the Kitchen Table”. Her favorite flowers are yellow if you wish to send. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation in Alice’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
