He graduated from High School in Clarks, Ne. and later earned an Associate Degree in Business. He married Donna Noble, the love of his live, on his birthday, December 15, 1944.
Art worked full time; well into his eighty’s. He was a Transportation Sales National Accounts Sales Executive for a number of major transportation and logistics corporations. Additionally, he was an entrepreneur that created and ran a number of small business ventures and moved extensively across the U.S throughout his business career. His travels took him across the U.S., Canada and into Mexico. He had a great sense of adventure as evidenced by him purchasing and flying his own Aeronca four seat airplane and the purchase of “Happy jack Acres” in Missouri in an attempt to raise Brahma cattle outside of Texas along with horses and sheep.
Outside of his work and career, his passion was family. He was a devoted husband that celebrated his seventy fourth wedding anniversary in 2018. He adored his three daughters and taught them there is nothing in life you can’t achieve if you set your mind to it. He was a beloved grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved watching football. He often wore the collegiate team sweatshirt of one of his grandchildren’s alma mater while game watching.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents and twin brother William. He is survived by his wife and soul mate Donna, his three daughters Debra, Sandra (Jerry) and Denise (Wes); five grandchildren (Dair, Makenzie, Aaron, Skyler, Cade); three great-grandchildren (Hudson, Bexar, Zadie); his sister, Mable Heninger and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:30 followed by a graveside memorial service at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, Texas 77384 on Wednesday, January 16, 2019.
