Dear Barry.  I can’t tell you how much it hurts knowing you are gone. The pain is excruciating. My hope is that I will see you again along with Pat and Patty and John and Mom and Dad. I can only imagine how that reunion went.  Some day we all will be together again. Until then my heart is broken. I’m glad your pain is gone. Glad that you are with the best family in the world. Glad that you are at peace. Glad that you have no more worries. But sad that you are not here. I miss you my little brother. And I love you more than you could ever imagine. Goodnight Barry. 

Barry helped me get back on the bike this year after a long time away since the loss of my husband.  What a great friend he was!  I will be riding in Barry and Jim's memory.  Thanks for everything, Barry.  Miss you!

A great humanitarian. An even greater human.

It's been almost two weeks and I still can't believe it. Your story will live on, representative of so many of us. Your legacy, and the season during which we met especially, will never be forgotten. Many prayers and much comfort to the family. 

To family & friends, I am sorry for your loss. May you all find comfort in the Bible scripture at Isaiah 25:8 where God promises to do away with death forever.

Barry, you amazed us all with your resilience and endurance, of the heart and on the road.  You suffered so much in life, but you made a life that was stellar, full of compassion for others who suffered. That's the mark of a true humanitarian, which you were. You and I cycled together, went skydiving together (finally!) and true to form, it had to be the world's highest tandem at 18,000 ft! We hiked Mt. Washington, we talked music, we were serious, we were silly. We never did get to cycle through Europe... maybe someday I will, and bring you with me in spirit. Actually, you will always be with me in spirit. It seemed like every event I went to, you were there, being awarded, toasted, feted. It never went to your head. You were so humble and kind. The world me never see anyone quite like you. We love you and will forever miss you.

We have been friends since 1998. Marcus and Diane,  who preceded you in your transition,  always spoke highly of you and your dedication to the community.  Your mom, always reminded me of the kind and gentle spirit of my birth mom.  Rest in their embrace,  and all who have preceded us.  We will see each other again. 

My wonderful cousin, Barry... a man of inspiration, a life of accomplishment, and a heart of gold...We admire you for all you did for others, despite all that you had to endure. You inspired the world with your stories, bicycle adventures, fundraising efforts, and you saved countless lives along the way. I know that you loved lighthouses...but did you know what a beacon of light you were to so many? You are missed, Good Man! I am proud to say that you are my cousin!!! Pedal on, Barry...pedal on!!!

We have lost a great one... Barry will be dearly missed by so many. His contributions and inspiration to folks around the world are countless and the lives impacted by his passing are immeasurable. Rest in peace, brother.

I worked with Barry for many years at HPE. I was indeed fortunate to know him. His skills at his job were impeccable. He was just the best at what he did. He had a warm personality. I wish to express my deepest sympathy and condolences to his family.

Our heartfelt prayers.  Barry was a true inspiration to all who knew him and will remain forever in our hearts and memories cherished.  God Bless.
