Carmine was born on October 23, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY, to parents Elisabetta and Luigi DiLeo. He graduated from Julius Hartt College of Music in 1952 with a degree in music. In 1952 he moved to Washington, DC and accepted a position as a violinist at the National Symphony where he worked for 2 years, after which he moved and took a position with the New Orleans Symphony. In 1958, he moved back to New York and spend over 42 years with Radio City Music Hall.
He enjoyed his family, music, and bird watching. His family and friends will always remember him as a loving family man.
Carmine is survived by his wife, Mary, of 65 years; his children Liz and Lou, of Texas and Florida; his 6 grandchildren and his 5 great-grandchildren.
A funeral is scheduled for 11:00 am on May 20, 2020 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
