

Carol was born in Kansas City, Kansas on February 15, 1948 to James L. Maddox and Betty Lou Copher. She was married to Paul Evan Doan on March 11, 1978 in Fair Oaks, California. Carol spent nearly 20 years in the medical field as a respiratory therapist. She was also employed for many years as a legal receptionist, and became a certified medical assistant before retiring.
Carol greatly enjoyed traveling and visiting other locations in the United States as well as other countries. She was rarely opposed to trying new things, but her most important objectives in life were driven by her desire to help others, and her love of family.
Carol was survived by her husband, Paul Doan; her two sons, Dale Ross Sherry and Allen Brooks Sherry; her siblings, Mary Ancelet, Sandra Amon, and Steven Watts; Nieces: Diana Puhl, Cindy Kramer, Theresa Pappas and Karen Archer; her nephews, John Amon, Tim Vamvakias, and Kevin Vamvakias; Grandchildren, Jonny Sherry, Kiana Sherry, Briana Sherry, Justin Sherry, and Cody Sherry; three great-grandchildren, eight grandnieces, five grandnephews, and many other loving family members and friends.
