Carol Laing Ritter

Carol graduated from Captain Shreve High School in 1971 and went on to receive a Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in 1975, a Master’s degree from Sam Houston State University in 1995 and a Doctorate from Sam Houston State University in 1999. She has worked in the education profession throughout the states of Louisiana and Texas, retiring from Sam Houston State University as a Clinical Professor of Educational Leadership.

She was a member of Christ Church United Methodist Church in The Woodlands, TX.

She is survived by her husband, Dennis Daniel Ritter, Jr. of The Woodlands, TX.; parents, Will Harvey and Valery Valentine Laing of Shreveport, LA; daughter, Marcella Anne Ritter Fink and her husband Stephen Paul of Ponchatoula, LA; son, Jared Scott Ritter and his wife Meghan Young of Midland, TX.; one grandson, Daniel Paul Fink, along with other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, August 24, 2012 at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM. Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Christ Church United Methodist Church, 6363 Research Forest Dr., The Woodlands, TX. 77381.
