Charlene Kennedy

Charlene was born on March 2, 1943, in Paris, Texas, to Charles and Doris Casey. She graduated from Paris High School in 1961 and attended Paris Junior College for one year before marrying her beloved husband, Glenn Kennedy, on November 23, 1962. The couple moved to Dallas, Texas, and later settled in Plano to raise their three sons—Charles David Kennedy, Kyle Wade Kennedy, and Kevin Lee Kennedy.

She welcomed daughters-in-law Pamela, Michelle, and Candice into her heart with the same deep love she showed her boys. Her grandchildren—Sarah, Ian, Kaitlyn, Tessa, and Lily—were her pride and joy, each blessed by her constant prayers, wisdom, and affection.

Charlene worked for over 15 years as a school office manager in the Plano Independent School District, from elementary schools to Plano Senior High. She inspired her sons with her love of learning and encouraged them all to pursue higher education.

As an only child, Charlene was a loving caregiver to her parents in their final years. She was known for her immaculate home, organizational skills, and unmatched hospitality—her superpower was making everyone feel cared for and cherished. Strong and sharp, with a joyful spirit and a touch of mischief, she had a special way of blending grace, humor, and determination.

She adored the Royal Family and had a special fondness for the Queen, but to those who knew her best, Charlene was the true queen of her family, her home, and the hearts of all who loved her. As the cherished matriarch of our family, she took great joy in hosting July 4th celebrations, September birthdays, and Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings, creating warm and lasting memories for her family.

There will be a memorial service for Charlene Kennedy at Wildwood United Methodist Church on August 30, 2025, at 10:00am.
