Charles Jerome Franey

Jerry was born in Churdan, Iowa on January 16, 1937. He graduated from Cooper High School in Iowa and received a business degree with a marketing concentration from the University of Northern Iowa. He was married to Carolyn K. (Sailer) Franey on June 17, 1957.

Jerry's early career years were with Mead Corporation Corrugated Box Division. He then went on to start Champion Sales and Manufacturing in Magnolia, Texas, in the late 1980's. He was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church and had a passion for both golf and baseball.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years Carolyn; parents Charles I. Franey and Agnes C. Franey; brothers Robert W. ("Bill") Franey, Thomas J. ("Joe") Franey, and Donald Francis Franey; and sister Mary Jane Franey.

He is survived by his children and their spouses Bruce and Jeri Lynn Litterer, Richard and Jennifer Gable, Steven Franey, and John Gunvaldson; grandchildren Megan Litterer, Daniel and Kendal Gable; and great-grandchild Adelyn "Addie" Perz; brothers James (Jim) V. Franey and Dennis (Denny) M. Franey.

Private burial service will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands. The memorial service, as well as, the reception to follow will be held at John Wesley United Methodist Church on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 1:00pm, 5830 Bermuda Dunes Dr., Houston, TX 77069.
