Edmundo San Antonio de Guia passed away on January 17, 2026, at the age of 83. He was born November 16, 1942 in Manila, Philippines. He is the son of Claudio and Isidra de Guia and brother to Guadalupe de Guia. He married Julieta Cabalfin de Guia on May 17, 1975 in Chicago, Illinois.
Edmundo received a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Santo Tomas, the first and oldest engineering school in the Philippines. He immigrated to the United States to have a successful career as an engineer in the Texas energy industry. Edmundo and Julieta created a home in Conroe, Texas in 1979 and soon after, both became naturalized United States citizens.
Edmundo loved to travel with his family, exploring Texas and the United States. The family attended the First Baptist Church of Conroe.
Edmundo is survived by his sons Edmund and Nathaniel Cabalfin de Guia and granddaughter Juliette Schmidt de Guia. Edmundo reunited with his wife in Heaven January 17, 2026.
Visitation will be held on February 14, 2026, at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 18000 Interstate 45S, The Woodlands, TX 77384, followed by Funeral service starting at 10:00am.
The burial will be at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery after completion of the funeral services.
