Jeff was born in Ventura, California on April 13, 1964 where, as a boy, his father introduced him to his passion for drag racing. Fond memories from his childhood that he carried throughout his life and later shared with the family that he built.
As a young adult, he moved to Texas where he met the love of his life, Debbie. Together, they created a life and a family having daughter, Cami and a son, Colin…they were the loves of his life.
Jeff and Debbie were together for 32 years. Their family was his true north; his greatest love. Jeff was a wonderful husband and father. His family came first before all things. He never wanted Cami and Colin to miss out on the good things life had to offer. He always believed in making memories. Even during chemo on the hardest days of his illness, he found the joy of cooking. Chili becoming his signature dish, Jeff would love to bring his family together for dinner around the table. These are the kind of memories they will cherish for all the years to come.
Jeff lived life to the fullest. He loved golf and scary movies, “Halloween” being among his favorites, and he had the Michael Myers infamous knife tattoo to prove it. His favorite kind of date night with Debbie was to find a scary movie to watch in his favorite recliner. When his children were little, he would attend Cami’s dance competitions and cry every time she was on stage. He loved spending time with Colin at the dirt bike track and from the sidelines; nothing made him more proud than seeing them flourish.
As a father and the man of the house, Jeff cultivated a strong family unit. He adored Cami and Colin's friends, watching all of them grow into young adults made him proud beyond measure. His childrens triumphs were his greatest joy. Until the end this always warmed his heart and stung his eyes with tears.
Jeff was a man of God; he was hard working, a loving and devoted friend, a family man, and he stood up for what he believed; he was a fighter until the very end.
Jeff is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Thompson, his uncle, Ronnie Thompson, grandmother, Ginger Mae Thompson, grandmother, Lucille Carter, grandfather, Clyde Carter and grandfather, Les Valine.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Debbie Thompson, daughter, Cami Thompson, son, Colin Thompson, mother Nancy Harlow and step father Jr Harlow, sister Lori Graham, brother Jon Harlow along with numerous members of family and many friends.
