Joan Virginia Koseluk of The Woodlands, Texas passed away September 14, 2023 at The Villages of The Woodlands Waterways. She was 97. Born September 7, 1926 in Mineola, New York to Mary and Edward Quicker, Joan met the love of her life, Ronald Koseluk, while attending Syracuse University in upstate New York. The couple married in 1948 and settled into life on Long Island, New York where they raised three sons — Richard, Christopher and Gregory. An avid reader, Joan was a lifelong champion of libraries. She also enjoyed gardening, golfing and playing the winning hand at bridge.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband Ronald and her sister Margaret.
In addition to her three sons, Joan is survived by four grandchildren — Heather, David, Alexandra and Ian — and four great-grandchildren — Speith, Augustus, Reid and Sophie.
A Celebration Mass is planned for October 20 at 10 a.m. at Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church in The Woodlands.
