

John D. Austin born in Houston, Texas, peacefully passed October 11th, 2023 in Conroe, Texas.
He will be remembered for his contagious smile, exceptional woodworking skills and his unwavering love for his children and grandchildren.
Born in Houston in 1958 to parents Dudley and Doris Austin, John was the only son among his five sisters, Shirley, Kathleen, Darlene, Delma, and Marsha. He received his education at Tomball High School and later embarked on a fulfilling career in the roofing industry.
John was a proud man. He loved working in his shop adorned with pictures of his children and grandchildren as well as John Wayne. He had a soft spot for his bubbly fish, his cherished garden and a friendly game of pool. John will forever be held close to the hearts of his devoted friends, Diane, Lannie, and his dear neighbors on Hickerson Street.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dudley and Doris Austin, sisters Kathleen Adams and Delma Thomas, his wife Margaret Austin, nephew Eric Kinsey, niece Emily Maler, and granddaughter Eleanor Austin.
John leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by his children, Chelette Stephenson (John), Stephanie, Crystal, Joshua, and Stacey Moe Austin, along with 13 adoring grandchildren, as well as numerous extended family members and friends. Our dear Pappy will be profoundly missed every single day.
A memorial service in honor of John will be held on November 12th at the Magnolia Community Center, located at 422 Melton Street, Magnolia, Texas.
