John Gilbert Wagner Jr., 83, of The Woodlands, Texas, passed away February 24th, 2026. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 19th, 1942. John graduated from Parkville High School and received a bachelor of science degree from University of Maryland in 1965. He was married to Donna Kay Wray on August 15th, 1967.
John worked for Shell Oil Company in lubricant sales and marketing for 35 years. John's greatest passion was his love for his family. When his children were young, he enjoyed coaching their sports activities, especially soccer. He loved attending his grandchildren's events and was supportive of their endeavors in all areas of their lives. John worked with Executive Service Corp. of Houston, helping nonprofit organizations develop viable business plans for successful development. Always eager to travel, John loved cruising, camping, and most outdoor activities. Visiting our National Parks was a favorite pastime.
John is survived by his wife Donna, daughter Sharron Waldrop and her husband Greg, son Michael and his wife Julie, and his grandchildren Allison, Matt, and Sarah Beth Waldrop. As per John's wishes, no funeral arrangements were held. John was beloved by this family and friends and will be held in loving memory.
