Jon had many roles and accomplishments throughout his lifetime. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout and was the Salutatorian in both High School and College. Jon graduated from Hudson High School and earned a degree in Civil Engineering at Ohio State University. He was a Professional Land Surveyor, Professional Engineer in Ohio and Texas, Commercial/Professional Boat Captain, and a Commercial Jet Pilot with a Transport Rating Certification. Jon was the Founder and President of Kingsley Constructors, Inc., which was founded in 1976 – present, that focused on Heavy Highway, Civil, Municipal and Oil & Gas Pipeline and Facility Construction. He was also a member of The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce and US Chamber of Commerce.
On November 7, 1992, Jon married the love of his life, Tawna. He was a loving husband and lived life on his own terms with a sincere desire and drive for excellence and professionalism. He was self-employed by his early 30’s and retired as President and CEO of his own company. Only God knows what was left to be accomplished or what could have been next on his list.
Jon is survived by his wife, Tawna Kingsley; sister, Ann Wadsworth; sons, Jon Kingsley, Jr., Brad Kingsley (wife Stacy), Brandon Britt (wife Kimberly), Jeremy Britt (wife Cristen), and Adam Britt (wife Whitney); grandchildren, Robert Higginbotham, Sam Higginbotham, Kaylan Willman (husband TJ), Kendyl Kingsley, Kimmie Kingsley, Makenna Kingsley, Karlie Aguilar, Lillienna Harvey, Madison Hurst, Raeleigh Britt, Scarlett Britt, Connor Britt, Dax Britt, Penelope Britt and Blake Britt; and great grandchildren, Emma Willman, and Kingsley Breckon Willman.
Jon is in a better place now in Heaven with God and is preceded in death by his parents, Dumont and Helen Kingsley; his sister, Shirley Pearson; and Grandson Jaxson Britt.
