Joy is survived by her husband, Jerome (Jerry), son Michael Maisano (Stacey), daughter Lisa Maisano-Norman (Andy), granddaughter, Ruby Joy, as well as her mother, Lillian Masropian (Dearborn, Mi), and siblings (Michigan), Christine Maisano (Tony), Vaughn Masropian (Noreen), and Diane Mercuri (Phillip), as well as numerous cherished nieces and nephews.
Joy was born on May 7, 1946 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. She and her family moved to Dearborn, MI when she was a child. She married Jerry on May 17, 1969. After living in Michigan for nearly 60 years, she and Jerry moved to Texas to be by their children in the Houston area. Throughout most of her life she was involved in many aspects of the Armenian community. She worked for Giuliani & Associates as a manufacturer rep assistant for 20 years and held other various administrative positions after that. She and Jerry were also foster parents for 6 years. No matter the position, or role she was playing, the very essence of who she was revolved around caring for, and encouraging, all those around her.
A memorial service and luncheon will be held on December 9, 2017 between 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Forest Park, The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 I-45 S., The Woodlands, TX 77384, (936) 321-5115. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Joy’s life.
