Mary Elizabeth "Libby" Hudson was a great mother and even a greater grandmother, who was affectionately known as "Nana". Mary passed away on April 8th, 2016. Her last breath was taken while being given a goodnight hug from her mother, Darlene McCaffrey. The time could not be more perfect as Darlene was connected to her as her life began and connected to her as her life was complete. God's task for Libby was crystal clear- raise two wonderful daughters, support her husband Duane as he built a successful community-based business committed to ethics and integrity, and help establish a foundation of love for her five grand kids. Mary was the middle child, with two brothers who loved her dearly. Mary's family made sure she knew she was loved. Throughout her final months, she received nonstop hugs, kisses, and loving attention from her family; including a final "I love you" from her mother as she took her final breath.
Mary Hudson was preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Duane" Hudson, which she was married to for 42 loving years; her younger brother, Joseph Randolph "Randy" McCaffrey; and her father, Wayne G. "Pepaw" McCaffrey. Mary is survived by her mother, Darlene Sullivan McCaffrey, also known as Nanaw; her older brother, Wayne Gilbert McCaffrey, Jr. and his wife Linda; daughter, Wendy and her husband Jeff; daughter, Mandy and her husband Anthony; Grandchildren, Hudson, Noah, Jax, Cole and Baby Arden and many, many cousins, nephews and nieces. Mary's family will be receiving friends at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home on April 14th, 2016 between 6:00 and 8:00pm. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands on April 15th, 2016 at 1:00 pm with interment immediately to follow.
