Max Ray Swain was born on March 27th, 1941, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Max’s parents would later move to Springfield, Missouri, where he spent his childhood and formative years. Max had a lot of friends growing up, many of whom became lifelong friends. Max had an affable personality. Honest, easy to get along with and a good sense of humor. No doubt these traits helped in his professional endeavors. Max was a true businessman, proud of his accomplishments. Throughout his life, Max worked in multiple business fields. From sales to management and everything in between, Max always excelled in whatever business venture he took on.
Max eventually moved to Dallas, Texas. This is where he would meet the love of his life, Tracy Hartel. Max and Tracy would soon be married and go on to have two boys. Corey Swain was born in 1980, and Casey was born in 1986. From 1984 – 1989 Max worked at Dallas Pest Control as a salesman. During his five years with the company, he played a major role in its success. Selling service contracts to the major hotels, restaurant chains, airports, and everything in between. Max became the top award-winning salesman for the company, and it grew to become the largest pest control company in Dallas. In 1989 Max and Tracy would move to Houston and start their own business, Hart Pest Control. With a vigorous work ethic and no quit attitude, they were able to grow a large and successful company. Without a doubt, this was one of Max’s most treasured accomplishments. A committed husband and father, he would do anything for his family. On his time off Max enjoyed playing guitar, reading, playing pool, watching football, hanging out by the pool in the backyard, and treasured spending time with family.
