She graduated from Kempner High School in 1992 and her career as a bus driver began a few years later. She was a dedicated school bus driver in San Antonio, Klein and The Woodlands school districts for countless students with disabilities where she cared for the safety and well-being of so many. The last few years of her career were spent at her dream job as a driver for the Texas A&M University transportation system. Her grandfather, sister, and several cousins were also Aggies so she was ecstatic to be included in the TAMU family.
Michelle was known for her love of all things Disney, 80’s music and movies, and country line-dancing. If there was a dance floor, Michelle would be on it dancing the night away. She always seemed to have a motor that wouldn’t slow down. Her sense of humor mainly centered around being the shortest one in the room but with a fiery disposition when crossed. She loved her family fiercely and would do anything to support her nephews where she attended sporting events, graduations, and anything related to their lives.
Michelle is survived by her sister, Lisa Katz-Johnson (husband Chad Johnson), nephews Parker Johnson and Hayden Johnson, aunt Manette Farber, aunt Ida Pozmantier (husband Ronald Pozmantier), son Robert Barrett, and many cousins. Michelle is preceded in death by her father and mother, Harvey and Carolyn Katz, uncles, Arnold Farber and Marvin Farber and aunt Yvonne Schwartz.
