With heartfelt love and gratitude, we announce the passing of Patricia Ann Lander, who left this world peacefully on December 1, 2025, at the age of 90. She lived a full and gracious life defined by devotion to her family, steadfast faith, and a warmth that touched everyone who knew her.
Born on August 25, 1935, Pat grew up with a strong sense of family and friendship—qualities that shaped her entire life. In December 1956, she married Jim Lander, the boy she had known since grade school and the love of her life. Together they built a partnership rooted in affection, resilience, and unwavering commitment.
Their married life was often busy and adventurous, marked by eight work-related relocations as they raised their growing family. Despite the frequent moves, Pat created a home of stability and comfort wherever they landed. In 1976, they settled permanently in Houston, Texas, where they would remain for the rest of their lives.
Pat excelled in the art of traditional homemaking. She was a gifted organizer, a nurturing presence, and the steady center of family life. Once the children reached high school, she embraced work outside the home, bringing the same dedication and grace to her professional roles. In the early 1990s, she and Jim joyfully entered retirement together, cherishing the quieter years they had earned.
Pat’s legacy is one of love lived daily—in her gentle wisdom, her kindness, her devotion to her husband and children, and the sense of home she created wherever she went. Her family will forever carry her memory with gratitude, admiration, and deep affection.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, brother and sister. She is survived by her children, Lon and Brenda, their spouses Selene and Michael and two grandchildren, Stephen and Christopher.
A private family service will be held in Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations to the Dementia Society of America https://www.dementiasociety.org or a charity of their choosing.
Her life was a blessing, her memory a comfort, and her love an enduring gift to all who knew her.
