Robert Francis Dawson passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, at the age of 57. Robert was born in Ellsworth, Maine on June 25, 1967 to Phyllis Fischer and Bob Dawson. Early in life, Robert had the opportunity to live in Spain and Ireland before moving to Houston, Texas, where he called home until his passing. That move to Texas to would bring everything in life he cherished.
Robert proudly served for eighteen years in the public sector as a Deputy Constable for Harris County Precinct 5 and a Computer Forensic Examiner with the FBI Task Force. After leaving the public sector, he worked for over 25 years as a Senior Cyber Analyst and Digital Forensic Investigator. Robert’s most important job that he was greatly proud of was being the best husband, dad, and grandfather.
Robert was always known for his selfless approach to life, witty sense of humor, and handyman skills. He would always lend a helping hand to everyone who needed it, but also had to make sure that he was the one in charge! He was very active in his children’s lives and always took time out of a busy day to throw a baseball, or cheer on the sidelines at jiu-jitsu matches. Robert would always make sure that everyone around him was taken care of before himself. He would not hesitate to give the shirt off his back or last penny to his name if it meant his family was better for it.
Robert is preceded in death by his brother Phillip Dawson, sister Barbara Dawson, father Bob Dawson, mother Phyllis Fischer, and stepfather John Fischer. He is survived by his wife Melissa Dawson, children Riley Dawson, Conner Roberts and his and wife Alissa, Kody Shrader and his wife Celina, and his two grandchildren Chase and Lexi Schrader.
