Mrs. Samon Prak, 77 passed away at home on December 31, 2019 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Cambodia on July 2, 1942. She attended the University in Cambodia earning a Bachelors Degree and had a career in law enforcement and nursing. After coming to America in 1981 she went to work for Conroe ISD in the Custodial Department for a number of years. Samon was industrious, and successfully opened her own business, J-Mar liquor in Montgomery, Texas. She embodied the American Dream and became a US Citizen in 1990, But, never forgot her homeland or language. She is survived by her children Dore’ Prak (Summer); Sarim Chea (Ro); Marin Prak. Grandchildren Alexander Chea (Matiny), Metha Chea, Isabella, Sebastian, and Scarlett Prak. Sister Sameth Prak of Conroe, Texas. Nephews Joe Prak (Amanda); children Brandon and Andrea Prak. Noy Prak; children Natalie, Ethan, and Zachery Prak.

A visitation for Samon will be held Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Forest Park - The Woodlands Funeral Home, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384. A reception will occur Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384. A funeral service will occur Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384. A committal service will occur Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384. A burial will occur at Forest Park -The Woodlands Cemete, 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, Texas 77384.
