Dr. Shehnaz Jacob

Shehnaz passed away peacefully with her family on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the age of 72. She was born on February 7, 1951 in Ahmedabad, India to Ibrahim and Shirin Lokhandwala. She graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1967 and graduated from Christian Medical College in 1973. She married Mohan Jacob, a fellow physician, on September 11, 1977. She moved to the U.S. later that year and did her residency in pediatrics in New York before moving to Louisville, Kentucky. There she welcomed her first child, Natasha. The couple then moved to Houston, Texas, where they welcomed their second child, Samir, and each started their medical practices.

Shehnaz lived her life with compassion, generosity, and verve. She will be remembered for her warmth and spirit, which she radiated as a mother, wife, friend, and physician.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Mohan Jacob; her daughter, Natasha Yeoman and son-in-law Lachlan Yeoman; her son, Samir Jacob; her siblings, Sheru Kagalwalla and Mobi Lokhandwala; and her grandchildren, Miles and Talia.

A memorial service for Shehnaz will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, 2023 in the Grand Hall at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home located at 18000 Interstate 45 S, The Woodlands, TX 77384.
