She is preceded in death by her parents, and Husband: Robert P. Turnbull.
She is survived by: Son: Mark Turnbull and Robin. Son: Wade Turnbull and Wife: Pep. Granddaughters: Amy Turnbull Musgrave and husband Stephen and Wendy Turnbull Roberts and husband Justin. Great-Grandsons: Cole Mark Roberts, Jackson Thomas Roberts and Ethan Elson Musgrave. Great-Granddaughter: Ruby Jean Roberts. Sister: Dorothy Sue Dannelly. Niece: Kristin Wilson and husband Alex and Children Jhett, Rosie, Whelynn, Hazel and Lawson. Brother and Sister-in-law: Tommy and Sheila Crone, and Julie Crone. Niece: Jenny Crone Grolemund and husband Justin, and daughter Lilly. Nephew: Jeremy Crone and wife Toko, And Children Kai, Emily and Mia. Nephew: Kenny Morrison, and wife Rhonda. Nieces: Candy Volk and family. Nieces: Debbie, Maureen, and family. Nephew: Billy Turnbull. Nephews: Mike, Pat, Stephen Rodriguez and Family.

Shirley grew up in Galena Park, Texas. Played Alto Sax for Galena Park H.S. Marching Band and was Majorette. Attended the University of Houston, where she was a Band member and Majorette 1955-56 and member of Tau Sigma Sorority, and where she met Bob.
She worked for Gulf Oil Corp. then married Bob in 1956. They were married for 52 years. She worked with Bob in their family business for 21 years. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Conroe, and sang in the Church Choir for 20 years.
Past Credits: Board of Director of Heritage Museum in Conroe, Quilt Guild, Volunteer with American Heart Assoc., Montgomery County Center for Retarded, Mothers Against Cancer, Organizing Board of Director for Parents Against Cancer and serving as Live & Silent Auction Chairman 1997-2000. She loved to sew, sing, and provide Love and emotional support to friends and family.

Visitation will be held at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home & Cemetery, Grand Hall, on March 12, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Funeral Service will immediately follow from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the same location. The Graveside Service will be held from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
